Os americanos do Dead Meadow iniciaram suas atividades em 1998. Provenientes de costa oeste norte-americana, já lançaram outros 5 albuns. "Old Growth", seu recente trabalho, é deste ano e carrega um hibridismo entre southern-rock e shoegaze. Na prática, é como se Neil Young e My Blood Valentine fossem um só.
